Jarvis for Mac
A voice assistant with its own AI: files, movies, mail, documents and the web — in a single phrase. Here is how to install Jarvis, how to talk to it and what it can do.
1. Installation
You need: a Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or later). The built-in AI needs memory: 24 GB or more is comfortable. On a Mac with less memory you can connect an external AI (ChatGPT, Claude and others).
- On jarvisapp.tech, leave a request and send a voluntary contribution of any amount. Once it is confirmed you get a personal code like
JRV-XXXX-XXXX— on the request page and by email. Keep it. - Download the installer with the “Download Jarvis for Mac” button and open it.
- Drag the Jarvis icon into the Applications folder.
- First launch: the app isn’t signed with an Apple certificate, so macOS will warn you. Right-click the icon → “Open” → “Open”. After that Jarvis starts as usual.
- When the app asks for the install code, enter your personal code.
- Allow access to the microphone — without it Jarvis can’t hear you. The camera is only needed for gestures.
2. First launch
The first-launch wizard asks once:
- Language — of the interface, speech and answers.
- How to address you — for a man: “sir”, “Mr. + surname” or by name; for a woman: “ma’am”, “miss”, “Mrs. + surname” or by name.
You can change it any time: Settings → Form of address → “Change…”.
3. How to talk to Jarvis
- Start with its name: “Jarvis, …”. Without the name nothing happens — a conversation nearby or a line from a movie isn’t a command.
- Say it in one phrase: what to find, where to look and what to do — “Jarvis, find the supply contract and open it”.
- During a movie, just start talking — the sound dips so Jarvis can hear its name, then the volume comes back.
- If several options fit, Jarvis shows a list and asks. Answer “the first”, “the second”, “number three”, name the file, or say “all” or “cancel”.
- “Quiet” stops the answer. “What can you do” shows the list of commands.
4. Voice commands
These are examples, not fixed phrases: speak in your own words and Jarvis gets the meaning.

5. Home screen and folders
In the center is the golden sphere: it shows what Jarvis is doing. Listening — the rings speed up; thinking — a “radar” sweeps; speaking — the sphere pulses with the syllables. Widgets orbit around it: mail, weather, load, devices, network, app icons.
Change the look in Settings:
- Home screen: “Orbit” (widgets circle the sphere), “Callouts” (golden lines to panels), “Classic” (panels in the corners).
- Folders: “Around the sphere” or “Grid” — cards in rows.
6. Safety
- Anything that copies, moves, renames or deletes happens only after your “yes”. Jarvis says what goes where.
- Deleting means the Trash only — there is no permanent deletion.
- The built-in AI runs right on the Mac: commands and documents never leave the computer. Answers from documents are searched with Spotlight on the Mac itself.
- Keys for external AI are kept in the macOS secure storage, not in files.
7. Troubleshooting
| What happened | What to do |
|---|---|
| macOS won’t open the app | Right-click the icon → “Open” → “Open”. Only once. |
| Jarvis doesn’t react to commands | Start with “Jarvis”. Check that the microphone is allowed: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone. |
| No sound in answers | Check the volume and the output device: “Jarvis, switch the sound to the speakers”. |
| Answers are slow | Close heavy apps. On a Mac with little memory, connect an external AI in Settings. |
| Lost the install code | It’s on the request page and in the email. If you can’t find it, send the request number via “Reviews & ideas” on the website. |
Questions and ideas — in “Reviews & ideas” on the website. Jarvis grows with your help.
